Closing a number of debt lines

It is high time to tell you about my latest achievement. I managed (somehow I don't quite realize how)to close my debts on a loan and credit cards. Of course, I got the money not out of air! We sold the second car (it wasn't old, happily) and now I enjoy breathing free!
Not long ago I read that after paying out your every debt, the credit score changes to the positive. So I decided to check it out. Since I'm short of money, I chose to get free credit score. Just to make sure it is worth using.
A friend of mine tried her best to convince me that all those free online services are scams and they are more dangerous than useless. But I'm a risky kind of girl! So I used the site called free-credit-reports.com and got my report just the next day. After this I'm going to pull a paid credit report and compare if the free one and the paid one are just the same.

It is April already and I still don't know what my credit score is like. There are a lot of sites that cater for credit reports online, and my aim today was to find the one which could give me reliable information and the reports itself as well. After a bit of googling, I came across a web-site that looks unpretentous, but contains a lot of valuable information. Ah, it's called unioncreditreports.com - I ordered my credit report and credit score from this site already.
I still doubt whether it can make any good to order some books about frugal living from this site. the articles are useful, but not for me, as I keep spending beyond my means...
Hope you are wiser with money!

In A Predicament!!!??

You have probably mentioned that I have a special interest to loans and credit cards and finance planning. Probably, because, it has always been my dream - become frugal for ever ;))
I decided to apply online for a credit card for - errrr - a 100th time. For this I have to know my points in credit history. I'll have to spend money.. again. As I looked through sites with credit cards, I noticed a strange thing. As they picture the scale of credit scores, they say: no credit - 0 points, bad credit - 350-619 points, on each page with lists of credit card offers, on every site. So I can't understand: how can it be so that after no credit with 0 points I suddenly get 350 points and bad credit... Is it a 350 points bonus for the debut in credit use or is it a general mistake? Hmmm...
Maybe, I should ask the experts? Frankly speaking, I feel a bit ashamed for not knowing that)))
