Domestic business

Since I started living separately from my parents, I've been enjoying certain things. Namely, I like that I'm cooking on my own, things I like and the way I like it. However, Cooking is inseparable from washing the dishes which I hate with all my heart. I find a special delight in preparing a nice breakfast of pancakes and jam, or eggs with vegetable slices… I also love baking. But! After all is done steaming , you cannot enjoy the meal, as you have to wash the heap of dishes. Well, my boyfriend usually refuses doing the dishes, which leaves me no choice. I wash them; I invent different treats for myself to make washing more pleasant. Foolish, you may say? That's it! But my kitchen is always clean thanks to those tricks.

Scaaaary?

The really scary thing is going to be on the forthcoming night, as it will be Halloween night! Are you going to dress up for the night and go paartying?
My friends and me are planning to do some clubbing, most of us in costumes. We decided to be different dishes - fried eggs, pork chop with green peas, chips, etc. In our favorite club there will be free entrance for those in costumes this night.
Yahoooooo!!!!

Another film which is more of a 'must see'

Though it is the year of 2008 currently, I haven't seen some if the old good films so far. One of them is Virgin Suicides (1999) starring Josh Hartnett, Kathleen Turner, Kirsten Dunst and even Hayden Christensen taking a cameo role.
Actually, this film was especially touching for me because it reminded me of my own life, when my parents did their best to restrict me from everything outside the home. I was really obsessed with the idea of suicude...

A great film to be a "must see"

I'm fond of video rentals shops. I really do! Sometimes you can find absolutely unique films there! Back in a few days, I found a very good film which is worth to be seen by many. It is The Pathfinder with my favorite Karl Urban starring. I wouldn's say it is a film without violence - it has a lot of it. You judge for yourself when you see it.
I liked the message fo this movie: it will never do to ruin the nature and the life of those who leave in harmony with nature. Agression never wins! This idea is especially important for the current US governement which is still supporting war in Iraq and is spreading armament all around the world.
The film is great in everything - hotty Karl as Ghost, charming girl as Starfire, amazing landscapes and costumes.

Autumn is coming so soon and just got an idea of buying rubber boots. That's really a mad idea, everyone says, but I want them badly. LOok at the picture of the boots and tell me: aren't they cute?

My mom has always been fond of gigantic things - she bakes huge pies, she lives in a temple-sized apartment... And when she came to buying a new TV, of course, she bought a huge plasma!
Now we are happy to have a real home theater and yeasterday night I watched Hellboy just like in on the movie screen! I changed my point of view on large plasmas and now I'm sure it is worth buying if you are a real movie fan or just a lover of visual effects. So, if you have money or a good credit card - go and buy one!

After vacation, finances are harder to manage...

I'm back from my vacation and I'm full of energy for work and writing here! Sea is really fabulous and I still feel like hearing the roaring of the sea.
As I returned home, I learnt that my cousin has got the new job of financial advisor. I was really shocked as I have always known her as a big spender! Haha a financial advisor who never saves her money!!! She is told to advise on getting credit cards and rebuilding credit after going through Chapter 7 or 13 of Bankruptcy Law might be quite an easy job, if you know what type of a credit card is best for your situation and is more likely to be approved. That's awsome, indeed...
I'm pretty sure I will never turn to her assistance - I'd better get used to read Dave Ramsey's blog!

Hi

I'm not a frequent writer here, but I try to write something when I have some time. I would like to continue the series of posts about my favorite websites.I hope you won't be absolutely shocked by me if I say I check out the new posts at PerezHilton.com daily! That's a really absorbing site to which I got addicted. It is not an ad, in fact! This site, as well as Jezebel.com, for example, just lets me relax and have a lot of fun! Those stars are so ugly and tasteless, quite unlike we are!!!

Thinking about finances this summer

It is the middle of the summer and I guess I have to get ready for a holiday! Have you already taken one? Me not...
So, the point of my thoughts now is where I should get some money for the forthcoming two weeks at the sea. No ideas yet, besides taking a credit card. This was suggested by my mom and I still can't find anything better than following her advice. Saving money doesn't help, as I can't save much due to regular expenses on numerous necessities... So I don't know whether I should take additional job or simply apply for credit card to finance my vacation. The latter seems absurd, as well as the former, though. Why can't one simply go and have fun, without paying loads of money for it? I'm ready to pay for anything but seven days of rest, because I'll have to work twice harder just to afford it.

Pregnant Men - New Reality or Just a Freak???

Recent reports of Thomas Beatie to have given birth have caused a lot of discussion in press and in public. Some say, he is not actually a man - his sex organs make him a woman, for sure!
Others say, it is freaking ugly to see a man with a beard and a baby bump. They are undoubtedly right, as it looks really really weird.
To me, there is no actual difference, whether the husband or wife give birth to their child, as life is full of misfortunes and not every woman possesses healthy reproductive organs. (you probably remember, Tom's wife has no ability to give birth).
Frankly speaking, I would rather let my husbandgive birth to our children rather than do it myself :-))))
What about you?

As far as I remember, I haven't mentioned in this blog that I'm fond of advertising and marketing tricks: I like to check out new interesting ads, I collect vintage ads and I'm interested to read about new advertising campaigns.
So, I recently came across a website offering credit cards for woman! It is called CreditRoom.com and at the first sight you see that they sell something for women, haha.
What seemed even more funny to me is the statement that their site was made by women and for women. I remembered O.b. ads and some ads of panties or a related stuff and find their approach amusing. But there is one but... What if o.b. will get angry and destroy that little cute site?

Life and Choice

It is no easy matter to make a decision when it comes to buy things. You have money, but the amount is limited while your needs and desired are absolutely unlimited. Today I understood how bothering decisions are: our family has a dilemma of buying additional equipment for the car or new TV and some furniture.
The saddest thing about this kind of purchases is that things get old and you start hating them in some months or years. We have furniture, but it is ugly… we have a place to store our clothes and books, but the ugly cupboard makes life rotten! That’s the way a modern man lives – al the time you should struggle the desire and determine the needs, resist the temptation. Seducing us, manufacturers build villas and marry hot models. But are the things we buy worth the labor we do to earn money for this?

Just a thought about finances

Everybody knows already that recession is in full swing. We were afraid we wn't be able to afford many things including Las Vegas and credit cards... to the total surprise, the latest surveys showed that the usage of credit cards became increased! What is the reason? People have gone mad?
An easy and sad explanation is drop in consumers' buying ability. People find less opportunities to pay in cash, they have to live in credit. Since prices skyrocketed, there is no other way than living beyond means according to how you used to live. Is it fair? or is it wise? I have no credit card at the moment...

Going to work - it is better to keep green?

Now that it is spring in bloom and summer is coming soon, I have an important dilemma: going to work by car or by bicycle. Many people in my town choose bicycle, because it gasoline is very expensive and cycling is less harmful for the environment. What I'm not sure about is whenther it will be great if I come to my work on bicycle. I don't wear a suit, but still I should look spin and span. Will I look clean after a 20 minutes' ride on a bike? Besides, I'm afraid I won't look as reputable as if I went there by car. The green aspect of the matter is obvious, but... So, I can't decide. Probably bike. Or car. Hmmmm...

Credit for people with bad credit history

is really not the thing I would like to have now! I remember the time my credit was really really bad and I could only afford having a limit of $300 and a sky high interest rate. My credit is more than average now and I’m in constant search for a new rewarding plastic: I know it is harmful for the score… but I can’t resist the temptation! Quite occasionally I came across a listing of credit cards for people with really bad credit and I was about to cry – they are much cheaper now than some two years ago. Times and prices change so quickly!

Working in the office: so much to hate about it!

I work in an office. Like most of you, I guess. Every office has its own lifestyle, its own regulations. Do you like the lifestyle of YOUR office, does it fit your habits and personal rythm? Mine is not, frankly speakig. I see many people sit at their desks without any shade of fatigue, but I feel like in a cell, in a closed box. I like air. I need free breathing, not the dry and dusty air of my room. This and the presence of a lot of people makes me really tired and I have less energy to do my job.
I tried working at home - it is much easier and faster, I should say! So I wonder wh can't I do my job at home without spending 2 hours a day on my way to work and back???
I'm sure there should be opportunity for people like me - I will do all the things I have to do, but PLEASE not there in the stuffy office!
It is sad, but they pay much less money for working at home and it s not encouraged at all...
Where would you do your job - at home or in the office? Maybe, I'm a pervert??!!!

A fabulous find in the Web

I got a habit of browsing such sites as digg or furl to discover new and interesting info for fun and practical use. Today I came across a link I was happy to find - Darwin works online. it is a site which contains all eminent works by Ch. Darwin, including The Descent of a Man, Origins of the Species and many more. That was exactly what I was searching for not long ago and now I've found them all!

I'm searching for a new...

cell phone! My old kind Nokia 6101 can no longer meet my needs. And it is covered with multiple scratches, since I used to carry it in my jeans pocket from which it used to fall out.
I'm tired of browsing the web, really. It is not easy to find the phone of your dream which does not cost my monthly salary. I want a slider, with a camera and good memory, also with mp3 and something intriguing.. I don't know what... Probably, some of you can make a suggestion of a good Nokia phone?

Spring is about to come finally!

Well, although it is march already, it is still cool. There is nothing quite new in my life. Ah, there is! I've got a pet parrot at home and it is oh so cute! Now I know that birds have tongues and they can lick! (my cutie is fond of licking water from the floor of the cage). Lyrical digression, you see.
My life now is something uncertain: I'm searching for a new work, I'm thinking over a mortgage and I'm about to go studying, but don't know what so far. The only things that cheer me up is my little parrot and my family, so everything is not so good, as you see.
Now I can't spend much money, as everyday there is a risk of losing job for an indefinite period.
Wish me luck, so that I could put my life in order as soon as possible.

I Am Legend (Post II)

Another post about the film)))
I found out that there is a book upon which the film was shot. Now I'm going to read one, as there will be plenty of time for this next week. I probably liked the idea immensely, or it is just an influence of mass media???
