As far as I remember, I haven't mentioned in this blog that I'm fond of advertising and marketing tricks: I like to check out new interesting ads, I collect vintage ads and I'm interested to read about new advertising campaigns.
So, I recently came across a website offering credit cards for woman! It is called CreditRoom.com and at the first sight you see that they sell something for women, haha.
What seemed even more funny to me is the statement that their site was made by women and for women. I remembered O.b. ads and some ads of panties or a related stuff and find their approach amusing. But there is one but... What if o.b. will get angry and destroy that little cute site?

Life and Choice

It is no easy matter to make a decision when it comes to buy things. You have money, but the amount is limited while your needs and desired are absolutely unlimited. Today I understood how bothering decisions are: our family has a dilemma of buying additional equipment for the car or new TV and some furniture.
The saddest thing about this kind of purchases is that things get old and you start hating them in some months or years. We have furniture, but it is ugly… we have a place to store our clothes and books, but the ugly cupboard makes life rotten! That’s the way a modern man lives – al the time you should struggle the desire and determine the needs, resist the temptation. Seducing us, manufacturers build villas and marry hot models. But are the things we buy worth the labor we do to earn money for this?

Just a thought about finances

Everybody knows already that recession is in full swing. We were afraid we wn't be able to afford many things including Las Vegas and credit cards... to the total surprise, the latest surveys showed that the usage of credit cards became increased! What is the reason? People have gone mad?
An easy and sad explanation is drop in consumers' buying ability. People find less opportunities to pay in cash, they have to live in credit. Since prices skyrocketed, there is no other way than living beyond means according to how you used to live. Is it fair? or is it wise? I have no credit card at the moment...

I came across a picture of the cutiest kangaroos - the mommy and a little albino child. They live in Uzbekistan zoo and the child is really a wonder! You can't but admire these creatures!

Going to work - it is better to keep green?

Now that it is spring in bloom and summer is coming soon, I have an important dilemma: going to work by car or by bicycle. Many people in my town choose bicycle, because it gasoline is very expensive and cycling is less harmful for the environment. What I'm not sure about is whenther it will be great if I come to my work on bicycle. I don't wear a suit, but still I should look spin and span. Will I look clean after a 20 minutes' ride on a bike? Besides, I'm afraid I won't look as reputable as if I went there by car. The green aspect of the matter is obvious, but... So, I can't decide. Probably bike. Or car. Hmmmm...

Credit for people with bad credit history

is really not the thing I would like to have now! I remember the time my credit was really really bad and I could only afford having a limit of $300 and a sky high interest rate. My credit is more than average now and I’m in constant search for a new rewarding plastic: I know it is harmful for the score… but I can’t resist the temptation! Quite occasionally I came across a listing of credit cards for people with really bad credit and I was about to cry – they are much cheaper now than some two years ago. Times and prices change so quickly!

Working in the office: so much to hate about it!

I work in an office. Like most of you, I guess. Every office has its own lifestyle, its own regulations. Do you like the lifestyle of YOUR office, does it fit your habits and personal rythm? Mine is not, frankly speakig. I see many people sit at their desks without any shade of fatigue, but I feel like in a cell, in a closed box. I like air. I need free breathing, not the dry and dusty air of my room. This and the presence of a lot of people makes me really tired and I have less energy to do my job.
I tried working at home - it is much easier and faster, I should say! So I wonder wh can't I do my job at home without spending 2 hours a day on my way to work and back???
I'm sure there should be opportunity for people like me - I will do all the things I have to do, but PLEASE not there in the stuffy office!
It is sad, but they pay much less money for working at home and it s not encouraged at all...
Where would you do your job - at home or in the office? Maybe, I'm a pervert??!!!

Credit Card Shaving: a New Invention of Identity Thieves!!!

Identity theft has become the nightmare of every holder of a credit or a debit card. Even if you are a user of some exclusive credit card deals, you can face this problem. What scares people most of all is the fact that you can fail noticing you have become identity theft victim. Numerous experts from credit card companies and special organizations give their countless tips on how to protect your credit. You can fall victim of credit card fraud, even if your plastics are in your wallet and you haven’t received alerts of stolen credit information, but there are credit card transactions you didn’t make. Experts call this credit card shaving and offer a number of security measures against it.
I hear about this for the first time, so I decided to publish the details of the issue in my blog. Credit card shaving sounds really strange, probably, because this is a new crime in the variety of scams. Scammers, surprisingly, do not try to get your credit card or personal information in any way. They just try out the combination of figures which make a valid credit card number. After that the masters of blade and glue stick cut the digits from the old plastics and put them in the valid succession. After that they are free to use the hand-made credit card for purchases. The police say victims rarely aware of the scam, therefore, the criminals can make multiple purchases with one and the same credit card number.
As you see, identity thieves have become really inventive nowadays. I believe it is necessary to check out the new issues concerning this problem, and I bookmarked Privacy rights site to be always in the know of independent information.

A fabulous find in the Web

I got a habit of browsing such sites as digg or furl to discover new and interesting info for fun and practical use. Today I came across a link I was happy to find - Darwin works online. it is a site which contains all eminent works by Ch. Darwin, including The Descent of a Man, Origins of the Species and many more. That was exactly what I was searching for not long ago and now I've found them all!

I'm searching for a new...

cell phone! My old kind Nokia 6101 can no longer meet my needs. And it is covered with multiple scratches, since I used to carry it in my jeans pocket from which it used to fall out.
I'm tired of browsing the web, really. It is not easy to find the phone of your dream which does not cost my monthly salary. I want a slider, with a camera and good memory, also with mp3 and something intriguing.. I don't know what... Probably, some of you can make a suggestion of a good Nokia phone?
